This BIG Tether Tug outdoor dog toy bundle is designed to hold up to the toughest, roughest big dogs (70-150 lbs.)! With 360 degrees of pulling and spinning with attached toys, it's held into the ground by an 18" in-ground metal base that allows the Tether Tug to slide in and out when not in use.
Our unique design allows your big dog to move 360 degrees around the Tether Tug pole as it bends and flexes.
This Tether Tug Bundle can be used with any of our popular tug toys and attachments, but includes a Knotted Rope Toy and a Tough Squeaker Toy. This toy will wear out your strong and energetic dog! I put in the ground but he almost yanked it out
So we are going to cement it in he really liked it so cant wait to permanently get it in the ground
The only thing I’d suggest is a cover for the ground spike since you don’t recommend
Leaving the pole outside when not in use

Built tough. My lab pup loves and uses it daily.

I really like it and the fact that my 8 month Doberman took right to it. It is very flexible and seems to be strong. In the two weeks I’ve had it my pup has torn up the actual two toy attachments I purchased. The pole and extension is great and showing great durability. But the toy attachments haven’t matched.

My pit/lab mix absolutely loves this!! Tug is one of her favorite games and this keeps her busy for a long time and actually tires her out. She is incredibly strong for her size, and the Tether Tug can take it!

My dogs like this a lot.
I would recommend a few design improvements though. When braiding the tube, I'd start at the end that goes into the ground and braid to the opposite end, and off like it is currently. But instead of ending the braid pigtail there, I would do a back braid, braiding back onto its self, and apply a 2nd layer in one continuous run going back to the end that goes in to the ground. Then I would do your loop like normal attaching to the connector. And instead of using a standard polyolefin shrink sleeve, I would use an adhesive lined shrink sleeve that will bond to the braid and zip ties. You would just need to make sure enough heat is applied to the sleeve for the adhesive layer to melt and bond to the braid while not melting the over braid pigtail. That way if a dog goes for the top of the pole, they won't pull the regular sleeving down, exposing the braid and zip ties.
Another option I would do is to make a taller pole for bigger dogs to keep them from going high to grab the loose end.

Our little Biscuit LOVES the Tether Tug. He may be small but the sure is strong, and this product gives him an outlet to burn some of his excess energy while building muscle.
